Agriculture, a specialised area of our business, is jointly headed up by somebody steeped in its traditions.
Adrian Ingleton trained with RNS and returned to the firm in 2008 as a partner.
Fellow partner Gary Makinson also takes responsibility for agriculture, adding valuable experience in dealing with family-owned businesses.
Adrian’s late father, Michael, was a Lincolnshire dairy farmer who, because of the changing nature of farming, advised his son to seek a career elsewhere.
Adrian and Gary’s knowledge and expertise have proved invaluable and the team is building up a reputation in the agricultural community for a quality service, focused on clients’ needs.
Sharon Clark (FMAAT) and Amy Kirkham (AAT) are seniors in the team together with qualified chartered accountants Sarah Dennie and Chris Driver.
Experienced book-keepers Lynn McDonald and Leanne Holborn are also familiar faces, providing a much-valued service in the farming fraternity.
Experienced and specialised accounts and tax advisors are a necessity for farmers, what with the ever-changing regulation from the UK and EU, together with a unique tax regime and fluctuating commodity prices.
Adrian and Gary’s team, based at our Brigg office, advise many farmers and suppliers in the agricultural sector, providing up-to-the-minute help.
Adrian said: “I’m fortunate to head up an excellent agricultural team which combines experience and knowledge with quality, client-focused service.
“I was brought up on a farm. The family has farmed since the late 17th century. I live with my family on the Isle of Axholme in the heart of North Lincolnshire’s farming community.”
Gary said: “Farmers need to trust their finances are in good hands. The team here understand the issues they face and their accounting needs.”
