Highly-respected friend and colleague Bob Marris has retired from RNS.

Bob joined the firm in 1978, qualified as a Chartered Accountant four years later and became a partner in 1990.

In 2001 he added the Advanced Financial Planning certificate to his list of professional qualifications and acted as lead partner for RNS’s financial services arm, RNS Independent Financial Advisers.

Senior partner Ian Pounder said: “He is a popular colleague and will be missed. I’m sure clients and friends will join us in wishing Bob a long and happy retirement.”

Bob has worked with, and helped develop, an excellent team of people. They are looking forward to continuing to offer the first class, customer-focused service clients are accustomed to.

The new lead Partner for Financial Services is Andrew Clayton. He has worked alongside Bob in that team for 10 years.

Andrew joined the firm in 1998, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 and became a partner in 2008, which coincided with him completing his Diploma in Financial Planning.
